What is Web 2.0 Technology?

It is to make a reference to a group of technologies which have
become deeply associated with the term: blogs, wikis, podcasts, RSS feeds etc., which facilitate amore socially connected Web where everyone is able to add to and edit the information space. The longer answer is rather more complicated and pulls in economics, technology and new ideas about the connected society. To some, though, it is simply a time to invest in technology again—a time of renewed exuberance after the dot-com bust.

Such groups as blogs, wikis, podcasts etc can assist in many activities in the teaching of English as a Foreign or 2nd Langauge, teachers can form their own blogs and communicate with eachother and they can also express what they are learning in a particular class or just basic conversation of their likes and dislikes. This will not only make students become social but also will help them look up words they dont know which will help them express themselves, they will be forced to try and making conversation with others inorder to make themselves understood and for them to understand others. These types of aspects can be also found in wikis, podcast and also other types of feedback found on the internet.
